Ruby Lovetta Jones, 65, of Wanda Court, Lexington, Kentucky passed away Saturday in Nicholas County, Kentucky. She was born in Nicholas County, Kentucky on September 15, 1947 the daughter of the late Irvin Alexander and Mary Opal Penick Jones. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Owingsville Ward.
She is survived by three sisters, Vivian Jones (Edward) Webb of Lexington, KY, Pauline Jones Curran of Kettering, OH and Dolllie Kay (Nelson) Young of Paris, KY; one brother, Ronald Jones of Sharpsburg, KY; a sister in law, Deborah Jones of Sharpsburg; two aunts, Louise Taulbee of Hamilton, OH and Jewell Sexton of Owingsville, KY; one uncle, Ewell (Marie) Penick of Owingsville, KY; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Palmer Jones, James Irvin Jones, Marvin David Jones and Donald Gale Jones and one brother in law, Everettt Allen Curran.
Funeral services will be 1 PM, Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Owingsville Ward with Bishop Seth Green and Counselors Jason Purdy and Jonathon Nelson officiating and burial following in the Owingsville Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday evening from 5-9 PM at the Taul Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling and Tuesday from 11 AM – 1 PM at the church. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Curran, Victor Curran, Christopher Jones, Nelson Young, Jr., Daniel Flora, Allen Curran, Scott Jones and James Irvin Jones, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Rachel Webb, Anita Pergram, Paula Copher, Renee Flora, Cheri Barnes, Melanie Smith, Michelle Jones, Pam Warman, Teresa McCarty and Daphne Prater.
